Loft conversions
Turn your attic into a bedroom, bathroom or office. Both our trades work on a loft, and it's far cheaper than moving.
A loft conversion brings our two specialist fields together in one project, because both trades are needed throughout. If you need extra space, it's a much more cost-effective option than moving home.
We can turn your attic into an extra bedroom, bathroom, storage or office space that adds value to your home. From the first site visit we'll advise you on costs, planning permission and building regulations. We can appoint an architect or work from your plans, and often planning permission isn't needed.
Which conversion suits your house?
Terraced houses can have the loft turned into an extra bedroom or office. On a semi-detached house with a hipped roof, we can add a dormer to the side, which usually helps with head height for the stairs, or turn the hip into a gable end, which brings the roof right across and creates a lot of extra space.
Dormers and roof windows
A dormer gives you head height and natural light, and adds a lot of usable space. Dormer roofs can be flat, covered in felt or fibreglass, or pitched, covered in slates or tiles. The outside is usually clad in uPVC, wood, lead, slate or tiles.
Velux windows come in all shapes and sizes, with centre-pivot, top-hung and electric options among others.
Think about how you'll use it
Will it be a guest room, a child's bedroom or a playroom? A master or guest bedroom may benefit from its own bathroom, and an extra bathroom can add a lot of value to a house.
Attic renovations
If you already have a loft that needs updating, or a dormer that needs re-cladding, we can quote for that too. Worth considering: rigid board insulation such as Kingspan or Celotex, and plenty of loft storage.
